Intracting
Intracting is a financing instrument for implementing measures to save energy or water.
In contrast to contracting, measures for saving energy or water are not planned, financed and implemented by third parties but rather within a company. The financial burden can even be less because the implementation time frame and scope of the measures can be handled more flexibly within the company.
Know-how from within
Often external know-how for implementation is not required. Naturally, external know-how can complement internal knowledge. In such cases, however, a certain safeguarding of savings effects is recommended.
Intracting also enables realization of smaller projects where external contracting would be too expensive. Contracting and intracting can also be applied together. The two instruments serve complementarily to define savings potential.
Presently intracting models are used primarily in communal energy and water management. This saves costs for energy and water and so creates room for other investments. Intracting also proves interesting for other institutions, e.g., housing associations and industry. An expansion into other areas, e.g. waste avoidance, is also conceivable.
Intracting employs know-how within a company in order to improve energy efficiency.
