Extended deadline for the ENERGY GLOBE
Alongside the presidents of EU institutions, ministers of the European Parliament and hopeful representatives of projects from all over the world, Mikhail Gorbachev and Alanis Morisette, Zucchero and Kofi Annan were among the illustrious guests last week at the Energy Globe TV Gala in the Plenary Hall of the European Parliament, hosted by star moderator Desirée Nosbusch. The famous award presenters came to bestow ENERGY GLOBE Awards upon five projects that contribute to sustainable utilization of our vital resources. The winning projects extended from a fully emission-free vehicle fleet solution to a self-financing waste collection system that creates jobs for slum residents.
The ENERGY GLOBE Gala has evolved to become an ambassador for climate protection and conservation of our planet. The Gala is broadcast worldwide by large TV stations. The numbers show that the message strikes home: Since the Gala was broadcast on all continents, the number of inquiries and submissions of sustainable projects has risen dramatically.
Companies and organizations as well as individuals report in daily to the ENERGY GLOBE organizers with exciting and interesting projects. To assure those who first heard about this coveted environmental award through this year’s Gala the chance to submit their projects, the submission deadline for the coming ENERGY GLOBE has been extended to 21 July 2008.
The submission form and more information about the ENERGY GLOBE Award are available online at www.energyglobe.info. Projects can be submitted online or by regular mail to the Energy Globe office, Mühlbach 7, A-4801 Traunkirchen, Austria.
